As a delegation of Federation of MuslimWomen's Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) Ogun State Chapter paid a courtesy call on the Ogun State Head of Service , Alhaja Selimot Ottun to identify with her on her new post, the number one worker in Ogun State has charged the Association to collaborate with relevant ministries in puting a stop to rape cases in the society.
The delegation led by the Amirah ,Alhaja Kudirat Rabiu included the Noiba Alhaja Jinadu, National Dawah Officer: Alhaja Oderinde Tawakalit, State Dawah Officer, Alhaja Ayisat Adebiyi, State PRO, Alhaja Ayisat Adeyemi and State Auditor : Alhaja Awoniyi.
The purpose of the visit according to Alhaja Rabiu was to felicitate and rejoice with her for getting to the peak of her career and to supplicate to Allah to protect,guide and lead her to achieve resounding success.
Special prayers were offerred for the progress of Islam , her success in office as well as for peace to continue to reign in Ogun State.
Alhaja Ottun while responding appreciated FOMWAN for the visit and enjoined the Association to always be at the forefront of Islamic propagation being the Umbrella body of all muslim women associations in the state.
She charged the Association to work on the issue of rape and collaborate with the Ministry of Women Affairs to eradicate rape in our society.
The head of service also charged members of the Association to adhere strictly to Covid- 19 protocols and enjoin other members of the assiciation to also comply with the government directives on the pandemic in order to halt the spread.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet , Alhaji Saka commended FOMWAN for being upright and urged the Association to continue in that spirit.
Those in the Head Of Service entourage include, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet , Alhaji Saka , Director of Education, Alhaja Mariam Oloko Secretary Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Salaudeen, and lmam Secretariat Mosque , Oke- mosan, Alhaji Odusanya.
