Reversal of Covid -19 test fees: Ogun NIPR describes Governor Abiodun as a listening Governor


 The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has  expressed  appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince  Dapo Abiodun for his  sensitivity to public communication, especially  in reversing the directive to pay N25,000 for Covid-19 test by the SSS 3 students who recently resumed academic activities in the State. 

The Institute in a Statement made available to newsmen by its Chiarman, Mr. Lekan Togunwa said the Governor with this stand had shown that he is a listening Governor .

" it is heartwarming to note that at this time in her history, Ogun State is blessed with a leader who has the ability to manage a diverse and varied tendencies, while being responsible to the citizens of the state" 

It stated further that one of the hallmarks of a true leader is the capability to combine firmness with flexibility, where necessary in order to serve his people better.

The statement reads in part, " The Chapter has noticed that your administration has come to be known for your painstaking consideration of issues, in all ramifications, before evolving policies for the purpose of good governance, and this has yielded a lot of desirable results" 

According to the state NIPR boss, Mr. Togunwa, the institute while commending the present administration for the feat is also urging the administration to continue in the same routine. 

The Chapter according to him " recognizes that the task of moving the State forward has become everyone's responsibility" , hence it expresses it's desire to support the government , assuring that subject to  agreement, the Chapter will always be committed to providing a platform for robust interaction and engagement between the present administration and Ogun NIPR in areas of mutual interests and concerns in order to move the State forward and to built the future of the State together.
