FRENCH EMBASSY TRADE ADVISOR AND FRENCH EXPERTS TO PARTNER OGUN ON AGRICULTURAL VALUE- CHAINS



 The French Embassy Trade Advisor and other French experts have visited the Ogun State Ministry of Agruculture with a view to explore areas of partnership, especially in Agricultural value chains.

The Senior Trade Advisor of the French Embassy in Nigeria, Mr Valor Iduh, led the  team of French Experts on the  business visit to Ogun State held on Tuesday,  November 23rd, 2021.

According to the Commissioner for Agruculture, Mr. Adeola Odedina discussions on the visit  bordered on possible areas of partnership across various Agricultural value chains.



He said " the  visit is a follow up to the ongoing Agro-Investment Drive of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun in line with the Ogun State Agricultural Agenda for Food and Nutrition Security.

" It also includes focus on dairy farming, ranching and climate smart Agriculture which the private sector in Ogun State are already keying-in into as facilitated by the  government; support to smallholder farmers, job creation and agricultural industrialization.", the Commissiomer added.



Also in attendance  at the business meeting were Dr. Jamiu Adeyemo, Executive Director Obasanjo Farms Nigeria Ltd; Mr. Benedict Ayodele, Finance Controller, Obasanjo Holdings Limited; Dr. Tai Oyekan, Consultant Ilaro Agro-allied Industrial Estate; Laurent Journavx, C.E France Geretiqui Elevage; Dr. Reta Bentaleb, CEVA Animal Health; Dr. Seydou Hamado, CEVA Animal Health; Dr. Dotun Sorunke, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture; Mrs. Toyin Jacobs, Director of Administration and Supplies; Mr Fasola Surajudeen, Director of Planning Research and Statistics; Mrs Omolara Ojelade, Director of Fisheries Services and Mr. Oyesola James, Director of Tree Crops, all in the Ministry of Agriculture, among others.
