The Abeokuta Royal Lions Club,a subsidiary of Lions International District 404 on Friday, 17th December,2021 engaged in one of the activities of the global Lions club for the month of December with a programme tagged "Feeding the Hungry".
During the programme, the Club engaged in the distribution of food items to inmates of the BORSTARL Juvenile Correctional Centre, Adigbe, Abeokuta.
The President of the Club, Lion Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso in a remark said the gesture was part of the activities marking the Lions Club's vision to make life abundant for the less privilege.
He promised that with what the Club have seen upon the visit, which shows how badly peole needed help, Lions Club will keep coming to their aids.
The Public Relations Officer of the Centre, Mr . Raji Babatunde while taking the club members through the centre's acilities thanked the club for its humanitarian gesture and encourage the club to give more aids to the centre, saying even though the government is trying,but they alone cannot provide the need of the centre.
In attendance at the event were the Board of Directors and other members of the club led by the club President, Lion Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso.
