Manipulations, godfatherism,insincerity, lack of accountability and total neglect to the fear of God are major causes of socio-economic and political instability in the country.
The Lead Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume passed this across at the church's Carol Service tagged "Unto Us A Saviour is Born" held on Sunday in Abeokuta.
Posting that most people occupying positions of authority are not committed to the wellness of their followers, Apostle Achudume noted that patriotism and selfless service to humanity are the bedrock of the much talked about national cohesion and economic growth.
The clergyman who informed that many unqualified people who are mostly political jobbers are now in charge of many sensitive positions in the country because of their connections to the powers that be saw the need for Nigerians to take their destinies into their hands by electing credible leaders irrespective of socio-cultural and religious leanings.
Apostle Achudume was of the opinion that a true Nigerian without ethnic or religious colouration is best for the much needed security, empowerment and progress in the country.
Saying that the future of the country has been mortgaged by some individuals, Apostle Achudume wants his colleagues on the pulpits to use their platforms to draw home the message of hope and oneness just as he explained that no nation can truly advance in the midst of ethnic bias and intolerance.
The Carol Service which had in attendance top government functionaries,religious leaders and members of Victory Life Bible Church International from far and near witnessed rendition of different Christmas songs and hyms just as HALLELUJAH chorus by the mass choir was sang to wrap up the colourful and well attended event.
