The Association of Nigerian Authors, Ogun State Chapter has concluded arrangements to confer a Meritorious Award of Recogniton on the Veteran Broadcaster and Consumate Media and Communication Professional, Mr Biodun Bello.
This was contained in a letter jointly signed by the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Chris Omotosho and its Secretary , Olori Bunmi Olatidoye addressed to the Awardee, a copy of which was made available to The Press.
The letter read in part:
" In fulfillment of one of its Objectives, the Association of Ngerian Authors, Ogun State Chapter is set to have its Annual State Convention.The Convention which is meant to celebrate activities of the Association and its impact on the society would feature Public Lecture, Public Presentation of its new Anthology of short stories and Meritorious Award of Recogniton of some individuals who have contributed to the promotion of literacy and education in the society"
"In view of this, the Executive and members of the Association recognised your total and unflinching contributions to the promotion of Literacy and education in the society.The Association has therefore deemed it fit for to confer on you the Meritorious Award of Recogniton at the event alongside some distinguished personalities".
The event with the theme " Directing the Social- Political Ship of the State Through Writing is to take place on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at Simeon Adebo Library, Kuto, Abeokuta.
Keynote Speaker at the event is Professor Jendele Hungbo of the Department of Mass Communication, kola Daisi University, Ibadan, book presenter is Olori Adeleye, Matemilola, wife of His Royal Majesty, Professor Saka Adeola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, while the book reviewer is Dr. Adegbite Tobalase Dean, Faculty of Art, Adeleke University, Ede.
The Veteran Broadcaster, Mr. Biodun Bello in his acceptance letter expressed gratitude and appreciation to ANA, Ogun State,saying his gratitude and appreciation remains boundless.
Biodun Bello, is the unique voice behind the popular radio programme, Total Mode Turn Over( TMTO), a classical quiz programme on Radio which recently had her 25th anniversary of educative and entertaining content on radio.
Apart from being the producer of the flagship programme, which aired on the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation every Sunday, Mr Biodun Bello " Double B " as fondly called by friends, clileageues and admirers is a Trainer of Trainer , when it comes to Broadcasting and a man with very broad mind and a rich content, who deserves all the honour and accolades that may be bestowed on him.
Through Literacy By Radio, a programme sponsored by UNESCO,Double B has been at the Vanguard of promoting literacy among the older generations and this perhaps earned him the recognition from the Association of Nigerian Authors, Ogun State Chapter..it is indeed an honour well deserved.
