Have you been fully reconciled with God?

Yes , you, have you been fully reconciled with God? God desire a relationship  with man and that was the purpose of creation as we all know. But, the scripture says  in the book of Romans  3:23 that ." All  have sinned and come short of the glory of God.Despite the fact that  we have all sinned and come short of His glory, God still desired a relationship with us. All he wants from us is for us to retrace out steps and find our ways back into his fold. Isiah 59 vs 1 , says : Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: [2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

So,if there have been a separation between us and God, it then presupposes that  we must retrace our steps.

What sacrifices are you making for your Salvation ?

Life is give and take. Most of us desire to get goodies from God, but we are not prepared  to let go of anything from our own conform zone. How is that possible ? I'm yet to phantom.

Most often than not, people look up to God as a present help in times of need, but the basic question one should ask is getting those blessings from God at what cost ? We all know that when we go to the market to make a purchase, we usually drop something in return. It is the law of exchange at Play ? So, while you want God to forgo your sins and watch your ways, what are you doing to be I  the presence of God in return ? You have to let go of certain  things in your life,  if your life must experience a turn around.

Many people are of the view that once they pray the prayer of Salvation, give their lives to christ by answering the altar's call, they have been fully reconciled, with God. How can this be?. Apostle Paul says: So, shall we then continue in sin that grace may abound? Paul replies with a resounding “God forbid” (Romans 6:2). To desire to continue in sin shows a misunderstanding of this abundant grace and a contempt for Jesus' sacrifice. Either we believe what God says is true or we don't.18 May 2. Therefore, being saved on the cross does not equally being totally reconciled with God..Being saved and accepting Christ as our Lord and Saviour is just the first step.

How then do we  reconciled with God ?

Reconciliation is putting two parties at odds with one another into harmony following a disagreement. The process through which God reconciles humanity to Himself via Christ is known as Christian reconciliation.Jesus conveyed a sense of urgency when discussing reconciliation (Matthew 5:23–24). The offended sinner can be made right with God.

What Is Christian Reconciliation?

Being made right with God is the concept of Christian reconciliation. We must be clear that God had nothing to do with the breakdown of our relationship. Instead of God fleeing from us, it was ourselves (Genesis 3:8). God is flawless, but we are not (Romans 3:23). He doesn’t have to adapt, give in, or find a compromise to work with us.

To be reconciled you must do.the following :

1. Forgive:
Jesus made it abundantly clear that if we do not extend forgiveness to those who sin against us, God will not pardon our transgressions. God expects those who have also been forgiven to forgive; we do not deserve God’s forgiveness by doing so. While reconciliation aims to mend a damaged relationship, those who engage in severe and persistent transgressions must be prepared to accept that it is a process.

2. Be sincere about your intention:

Make sure your motivation is to please God. Resolve the issue of forgiveness within the context of your relationship with God, as Joseph did. Retaliatory rules for reconciliation should not be used. That is divine sovereignty—God is the one who is reconciling.

3. Pray for the person who hurt you.

Many people will say this is not possible. Well, it is possible and it must be possible if you truly wants to reconcile with God.Jesus instructed His followers to pray for those who treat them poorly (Luke 6:28). It’s interesting how praying for someone else may alter our perspective of them. Additionally, ask for courage to carry through the reconciliation (Hebrews 4:16).

4. Let go of some bad habits.

This is where someone us cross the line. There are some habits we engage in that lead us to sin and we know within our heart that letting go of these habits will make us to get closer to God, but unfortunately, we are not prepared to  let go. We should be prepared to let go of some of these negative attitude.

What happens when  you are fully reconcilled with God.

He came to restore peace by reconciling all of Creation to God. This Scripture says that God was reconciling to himself all things through Jesus. By restoring our right relationship to God, Jesus also opened the door for us to live in right relationships with each other, Creation, and ourselves.

In Reconciliation, we acknowledge our sins before God and His Church (confession). We express our sorrow in a meaningful way (contrition), receive the forgiveness of Christ and His Church (absolution), make reparation for what we have done and resolve to do better in the future (penance).

What God says about reconciliation?

Paul declares in Romans 5:10, “For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” This is the only way a person can be reconciled to God.

Conclusion:

Reconciling with  God, comes with a lot of benefits. When we are fully reconciled with God,he will send his Holy Spirit to us to always guide us about ways and directs our steps. When , a man constantly experience the visitation of the holy spirit, it simply means he has been fully reconciled with God and the benefits can be endless. The visitation of the Holy spirit also means that  the Holy spirit will reveal to us things to come and will show us the way out of some of our problems. Let's endeavour to reconcile with God, and it shall be well with us .
