Joy as Konifewo Lions Club donates Ultra modern Computer Lab to Ajogbo Junior, Senior School in Ota.



It was a joyous occasion for the students of Ajogbo junior and senior grammar school Tigbo kingdom in  Ado Odo  Ota local government  as Konifewo Lions Club donated an ultramodern computer laboratory to the school as part of their social responsibility.

Speaking on  the reasons for the donation of the computer laboratories to the senior and junior school separately, President of Konifewo Lions Club, Lion Damilola Kehinde, explained that the club's main goal is to connect Ajogbo grammar school (senior and junior) computer laboratories to the world wide web via satellite in the future, adding that more equipment is still on the way to expand the scope of the project to better enrich the students' knowledge on ICT.










 The president of the club who was represented by Rev Tunji Akoni noted that the school will start seeing some academic progress as  the incoming president for the year 2023/2024 will no doubt do more for the school being an old student of Ajogbo grammar school.

The president further explained that the only way for the club to build a community is through the empowerment of people in which Konifewo Lions clubs embarked upon within the past 10 months 

Appreciating the Club as worthy collaborator and valuable stakeholders in the education industry, the commissioner for Education science and technology Prof Abayomi Arigbabu pointed out  that reputable organisations in the society are now rising to the challenge of assisting the government in uplifting the educational standards .











The commissioner who was represented by the zonal education director Mr Abubakry Azeez called on the people of the state, to come together to move the society forward as education is the most viable tool and catalyst for all round development. 

The commissioner also urged  stakeholders to contribute their quotas as there is need for goodwill and support off all and  sundry to develop the education industry,  pleadging  that the government will remain unrelenting in the provision of an enabling environment for the furtherance of sound education for the teeming youth.
   
On his part, the oni Tigbo of Tigbo kingdom Oba Thoma Fagbayi called on other associations to follow the steps of Konifewo Lions clubs in carrying out social responsibilities that will not only benefit the people but also bring necessary developments to the society.

The monarch also called on the state government to establish  another secondary school in Tigbo kingdom as Ajogbo grammar school is the only functional school in the area.
