The Potency of Praises

"God Inhabits the Praises of His People” – Psalm 22:3 

Human beings naturally are murmurers. The part of worship that  we like so much is when they call a prayer point. We do this because we are naturally insatiable. Without acknowledging the ones he had done, we keep asking for more. This habit is so ingrained in us such that sometimes, we already received answers to our enquiries, yet we are still asking God for the same thing. This is because, we are always in a hurry to get answers and we want more and more.  Recognising this important weakness of man, God enjoined us at every point in time to let our praises be more thatn our asking. "Let Your Praise Prevail Over Your Asking . Romans 4:20. He asys this because he knows we benefits more from praising him.than asking for things. When, we praise God, and he comes down,we get speedy answers  to our prayers. 

What is praise?

Praise is an act of faith. Praise is about having faith in the character of God even when we are struggling with challenges in life. It is when we CHOOSE to focus on and believe in Him that our faith is exercised, and it is faith alone that pleases Him and moves Him to action in our lives—personally and corporately!

What are the purpose of Praise and Worship ?

The purpose of praise and worship—as it relates to singing, dancing, and praying—is  to create an intimate space between you and the Lord, allowing Him to speak directly to your heart in such a way you are drawn nearer to Him. As a result, He is glorified, and you go deeper into your identity in Him.

The purpose of man is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever. Scripture: “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

The Bible says God is “Enthroned upon the praises of Israel” (Psalm 22:3). Praise promotes productivity. According to the Word, the Earth yields its produce in the presence of praise (Psalm 17:5-6)

The Secrets Behind Praises and Worship .

God asking men to praise him.What an irony? Why does God Inhabits in the praises of His people? The simple answer is that, because he loves us. Have you stopped to ponder why God with all His mighty power would still want an ordinary being like you to praise him. Some of us thinks we are doing him a favour by decimating our energy in His praises.We are actually doing ourselves a lot of favour.He knew quite alright that the best approach for us to get the best of him is through our  praises , hence he specifically instructed us to praise him at all times and in all circumstances. Praise Is equivalent to inviting God to a feast.

The same way you invite your  friend to a dinner, is the same way it appears God is invited to a feast through praise and worship. When you pray,you may be having a doubting mind whether you have received the answer or not, but when you praise him,you have invited his presence. The same way that you have the opportunity to engage your guest each time you invite him or her to a dinner, the same way you will have unfettered access to God when you organise a feast of praise.

God Inhabits in the praises of His people.This means that He is not far from you, when you praise him..When you praise him, you invite his presence.. When you are blessed with his presence, your supplications can easily be heard because he is available at your beck and call...!!!!

How does giving praises benefits you personally?

According to Atlantic Union Gleaners, praise does the following:

1.Giving compliments makes you grateful.

Research shows that gratitude exercises are one of the quickest and most effective ways to increase your happiness and make you feel more energetic. To do this, think of three things that make you feel grateful.

2. Praise invites His presence.

Praise invites the presence of God into our midst and our spirit is refreshed and renewed. God dwells close to us when we praise Him and we are strengthened by His peace. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”—Psalm 14:27, NKJV.

3. Praise opens the way for God's  blessings.

Praise opens the way for God’s blessings over our lives. As we come into the presence of our King, He will not hold back His goodness. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations”—Psalm 100:4, 5 (ESV).

Still on the Power of Praise.

4.Praise Breaks The Protocol of Access to God 

In trying to get access to God, sometimes you pray and fasted for days or in some cases years. Jesus himself fasted for 40 days to sdd the face of God. Sometimes you go through your Pastor who pray with you in spirit and join you in the prayer. Sometimes you hope the angels of God will help to carry your supplications to God in heaven.  Some people also engage in sacrifice, especially I  the old testaments.Remember  ,how the prophets were powerful at those period and they were the only means through which you can see the face of God. 

But, when you do a feast of praise, you break all the protocols. The spirit of God will surely descend and most often than not,you get instant answers to your supplications, the sick are healed during Praise and worship; so many yokes are broken.. This is because, you have an unfettered access to God and you are able to approach the spirit of God which  has been brought down through your praise and worship and he most often than not give answers to your prayers...

Is Praise More Powerful than Prayer?

I watched a clip long time ago by  Pastor Adeboye, where he said,if prayer fails or delays, try praises. As far as we are concerned at the Writing and  Researching For Christ, there is no debate about which is poweful. Praise complements prayers. When you pray, the power of God is released out of you creating a powerful climate for change. When prayer is mixed with praise the power is greater. When these two weapons are mixed together it is a force that cannot loose.
