The Promoter of the Sixth Sense initiative, a bona-fide son of Owu kingdom, Mr. Abiodun Oladimeji Lasile has been elected as Orunto Owu Kingdom Abeokuta.
The decision was reached during the family meeting held on Sunday, 18th June, 2023.
Orunto Baalufe holds immense significance as an Owu Chieftaincy title, not only within the family but also as a Kingmaker. It is an honour linked to the lineage of the Orunto descendants which made the family the 3rd to Olowu of Owu Kingdom Abeokuta.
The esteemed Orunto Baalufe family formally presented Orunto-elect on Sunday, 9th September, 2023 to the highly respected HRM Oba Prof Saka Adelola Adisa Matemilola FNSE Otileta VII Olowu Oluyalo of Owu Kingdom, located in Abeokuta, at the distinguished Aafin Olowu, Oke Ago-Owu.
Friday, 22nd September, 2023 is the anticipated epoch making date for the official Installation Ceremony which is to be presided over by HRM Oba Prof Saka Adelola Matemilola FNSE Otileta VII, the esteemed Olowu Oluyalo of Owu Kingdom Abeokuta under the watchful eyes of His Excellency Chief Dr. Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo GCFR former President Federal Republic of Nigeria and Balogun Owu Kingdom Abeokuta.
Mr Lasile in his response expressed
gratitude to all the family members for the honour done to him.
