The current Head of Department of Mass Communication, Kwara State University, Dr. Semiu Bello has this Tuesday been elevated to professional rank as he was
pronounced Reader /Associate Professor of Mass Communication.
This elevation was done by the Senate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
This elevation marks the beginning of another exciting journey as an academic in the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago iwoye where he had once served as a junior academic staff.
Semiu, a goal- getter after bagging an Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication in the year2002 did not look back until he crowned it with a Doctor of Philosophy obtained at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
A young, energetic, visionary academic and astute researcher in media and communication field who hails from Sagamu in Ogun State, South Western Nigeria, Semiu is a dogged character that grew up from a muddy background and has, over the years, with consistency, sharp focus and ever-green determination traversed the world to become an icon in the field of media and communication.
Semiu is a self-motivated and enthusiastic media and communication teacher, trainer, researcher and scholar whose research interest covers print journalism studies, health and development communication, media literacy, mass media and society, communication theories, media research, new/digital media and public relations.
