Moment of Reminiscences as Society of Nigerian Broadcasters Decorates Engineer Shyllon as Patron



It was a moment to reminiscence
and applaud the good deeds of a former Board Chairman of The Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, OGBC and The Ogun State Television, OGTV, Engineer Yemisi Shyllon as members of the Ogun State Chapter of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters gathered at his Abeokuta residence for his Investiture as the Society's Patron. 

Led by the Chapter's Chairman, Bashorun Festus Kehinde, the SNB members at the event posited that the Patron's cap fits no one but Engineer Shyllon who has continued to better the lots of professional Broadcasters. 



According to Bashorun Kehinde, the good deeds of the former Board Chairman of the government-owned broadcast stations are still speaking volumes as many beneficiaries are leading in their assigned roles in different capacities. 

The SNB Chapter Chairman who is a former General Manager of OGTV  lauded Engineer Shyllon for his prompt support, adding that the globally-recognised leading art collector has remained a beckon of hope to both young and old professionals in the industry. 

The former OGTV boss further  informed that the formation of SNB was to build on the legacies of the founding fathers in the industry,  adding that the success witnessed yesteryears and those being recorded currently were made possible by the proactive approach to duties by the leaders of the industry. 

Apart from ensuring that professionals are given a pride of place in the scheme of things Bashorun Kehinde said SNB will also see to the training and re-training of members. 

In a remark, Engineer Shyllon went down memory lane to inform his guests at the Investiture of the bold steps taken to expose members to greater academic qualifications, urging everyone to do the needful in the discharge of their duties. 

The SNB Patron also saw the need for the administrators of the Broadcast media to facilitate programmes geared towards performance enhancements of their workers, pointing out that the mass media is a veritable tool in national development.
