FUNAAB's 31st Convocation Ceremony Kicks Off

In a jubilant atmosphere, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), on Friday, January 19, 2024, commenced its 31st Convocation Ceremony with a Jumat Prayer at the University Mosque.

The sacred occasion, held at 1 p.m., brought together the University community in a moment of spiritual unity.

Continuing the celebration, an Interdenominational Church Service is scheduled for Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the University Chapel of Grace. The service, set to commence at 9:30 a.m., would encompass spiritual reflection as the Convocation would be a memorable blend of spirituality, intellectual discourse, and academic achievement for the entire University community.

As anticipation builds, the University would host a Press Conference on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Red Chamber. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the press and University officials would gather for an informative session, shedding light on the upcoming convocation events.

The academic highlight of the convocation week would be the Convocation Lecture on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Renowned scholar Prof. Yakubu Ochefu, the Secretary General of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU), will deliver a Lecture titled "From Baby Boomers to Generation Alpha: Interrogating Generational Dynamics and Agriculture Education in Nigeria." The Lecture is scheduled to take place at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building at 3:00 p.m.

Culminating the week-long celebration, the Award of First and Higher Degrees, Postgraduate Diploma, and Honorary Degrees will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024. The Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building would be the stage for this momentous occasion, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Oluwatoyin Morufat Dawodu, the Ag. Registrar of FUNAAB, announced these events, expressing her enthusiasm for the vibrant week ahead.
