His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adedotun Gbadebo CFR, Okukenu IV, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, will join other distinguished personalities, including Otunba Dr. Adebola Ismail Akindele, Alhaji Adewale Sonaike, and Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire SAN, as inductees into the prestigious Nigerian Books of Record (Who’s Who in Nigeria).
The induction ceremony is slated for Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Adire Hall, Aafin Ake, Abeokuta, commencing at 2:00 PM. The event will celebrate the inductees’ remarkable contributions to national development, cultural preservation, and governance.
Chief Dr. Abiodun Lasile, the Founder of The SixthSense Initiative, emphasised that the ceremony is not just about recognition but also a celebration of perseverance, excellence, and leadership.
Lasile said, “this event will serve as a powerful reminder that greatness is achievable, not just through talent, but through relentless effort and dedication. The inductees have shown what it means to contribute meaningfully to society and leave a lasting legacy.”
He further highlighted The SixthSense Initiative’s mission to promote reading culture among children and foster human capacity development. “Our nonprofit organisation is committed to creating an environment where the love for reading and the pursuit of knowledge can thrive. Encouraging our children to read again is crucial for building the next generation of leaders,” he added.
The Nigerian Books of Record highlights Oba Gbadebo’s exemplary cultural leadership and his significant efforts in uniting the people of Egbaland and Nigeria.
According to Prof. David David, the Director General of the Nigerian Books of Record, the inductees’ accomplishments are a source of inspiration to Nigerians and the global community.
Otunba Dr. Adebola Akindele, Alhaji Adewale Sonaike, and Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire are being recognised for their notable achievements in business, governance, and legal reform, respectively. Their induction underscores their pivotal roles in shaping Nigeria’s progress.
