In a grand display of cultural splendor, Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso, the Head of Department of Mass Communication at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and his wife, Mrs. Adebola Tejuoso, were installed as the Asiwaju Kemta and Erelu Asiwaju Kemta, Egbaland, respectively.
The ceremony, held on Saturday, drew dignitaries from far and wide, including Rectors, CEOs, and prominent Chiefs.
The installation was performed by the Seriki Kemta, Chief Dr. AbdulFatai Badru, under the auspices of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Chief Badru highlighted Dr. Tejuoso's exceptional leadership traits and achievements, which earned him the esteemed title.
"Dr. Tejuoso's exploits in his career and community leadership have distinguished him as a true son of the soil," he said.
The installation ceremony was a testament to Dr. Tejuoso's celebrity status in academia.
Dignitaries in attendance included Arc. Dr. Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso, Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic; Dr. Adegoke Rauf, Rector of Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic; Barr. Zachariyah Ajibola, Registrar of Crescent University; Mr. Akeem Salami, CEO of Ijebu la wa Gaari ; and Chief Aro, CEO of AROCOM among others.
In his response, Asiwaju Wasiu Tejuoso expressed gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him and his family.
"This title is a great privilege, and I'm humbled to have grown to represent my clan. As Asiwaju, I promise to lead with vision and inclusivity, positioning Kemta for greatness."
With his new title, Dr. Tejuoso vows to leverage his leadership inheritance to propel Kemta to enviable heights.
