Rich Cultural Splash at Chidinma Achudume and Aduragbemi Lawal’s Traditional Nuptials in Abeokuta.

It was a unique blend of two cultures, Edo and Delta States, as the charming daughter of the Founder of Victory Life Bible Church, Abeokuta, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, Chidinma Oluwatobiloba Achudume, and her dashing heart‑rob, Aduragbemi Lawal, had their traditional nuptials this Friday in Abeokuta.
Guests from all walks of life—including religious leaders, captains of industry, community leaders, politicians, and government functionaries —attended, coming from far and near, and some even from abroad.
Both bride and groom and their friends, as well as their friends, wore sophisticated, creatively‑knitted attires—sequinned laces, jacquards, Swiss voiles, Aso‑Oke, camisoles, and moccasins.
Apostle Lawrence Achudume, the bride’s father, looked smashing in a trendy outfit, smiling and moving from table to table to greet guests and ensure everybody was served and satisfied.
The spouse of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Mrs. Bola Obasanjo, Reverend Mrs. Abiola Omobude, Bishop Tom Samson, and other clergy offered prayers for the couple.
During the joyous moment, the bride, whose striking resemblance to her late mother, Reverend Fola Achudume, was evident in her laughter and mannerism, while responding to a joyous question from the handlers of the event said she enjoys calling her heart‑rob pet names such as spicy, the love of my life, and sugar in my tea.
Family members of the bride’s father (from Amai, Ukwuani LGA, Delta State) and family members of the bride’s mother (from Ibadan, Oyo State) wore gold‑and‑orange attire, while the members of the groom’s group from Edo State wore deep‑blue attire, just as other invitees adorned white and red outfits.
The hall where the event was held was well‑decorated in matching white and gold as well as a lot of chandeliers, creating a splendid atmosphere.
After the engagement ceremony, a vibrant testimony night followed, during which the bride, groom, their friends, and distinguished guests gathered to worship God.
They shared heartfelt testimonies, recounting how they first met and the journey that led them to this moment, allowing everyone present to celebrate together.
With everything in place, the event organizer and analyst noted that the day’s proceedings, capped by the heartfelt testimony night, had set a promising tone, ensuring a successful and colourful wedding, to be held at Victory Cathedral, Ajebo Road, Abeokuta.
