OGUN NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,851 PERSONNEL AHEAD OF 2026 EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATION.

Ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo, MLCJ, mSPSP, has directed the immediate deployment of 1,851 operational personnel across the state to beef up security before, during, and after the festive period.

While briefing officers and men at the State Command Headquarters, the Commandant ordered comprehensive deployment of security personnel to all Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, critical infrastructure, and identified black spots across the twenty (20) Local Government Areas of the State.

She emphasized the need for professionalism, vigilance, and courteous engagement with members of the public, stressing that personnel must conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the core values and mandate of the Corps.

Commandant Ekundayo further reassured residents that the Corps remains fully committed to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, as well as the safeguarding of lives and property across the state.

She warned that the Command will deal decisively with miscreants, criminals, and vandals who may attempt to disrupt the peace and security currently enjoyed in the state.

The Commandant also used the opportunity to wish the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and fulfilling 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, urging residents to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies for a hitch-free celebration.
