FOMWAN congratulates new Chief Imam of Egbaland, Bamgbola

The Federation of Muslim Women's Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) Ogun State Chapter has congratulated Sheik Saa'dullahi Bamgbola who was recently named as the new Chief Imam of Egbaland.

Sheik Bamgbola hails from Iporo Ake, in Abeokuta South Local government area of Ogun State.

His appointment is coming barely two weeks after the demise of the late Chief Liadi  Orunsolu who occupied the exalted Islamic spiritual position for 18 years.

The Association in a statement by its Amirah, Alhaja  Kudirat Rabiu  observed that the emergence of Sheik Bamgbola as the leader  of Egba Muslim community is well deserved and befitting having served excellently, diligently well as the second-in- command to the late Chief imam with utmost dedication.

The Association noted that it has no iota of doubt that his being in the saddle of leadership  is a continuation of the peace , orderliness, love , tranquility and oneness that has characterised the Egba muslim community in recent past, urging him to keep the flag flying.

" As a man of activity, old age and wisdom, who stood behind the late Chief Imam in maintaining and upholding unity and peace among the Egba Muslim community , we have no doubt that your elevation is a continuation of the spartan and exemplary leadership that the community had enjoyed over the years" 

While wishing him success in his new assignment,  FOMWAN enjoined the  Muslim Ummah, muslim women groups and the entire muslim community in Egbaland and Ogun State at large to support him in achieving success
