Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Elders are to be heard and not to be seen. They are to be respected because of the experience they have gathered in the past.
Elders are not to be seen taking sides on any issues, they are to look for a way to resolve issues without being biased with a high sense of maturity.
They command respect naturally and don't beg for it. They ought not to be seen where mischief-makers are, their comments on any issue must be golden and not being seen as biased.
For any great change to be effected in any society, respected and unbiased elders must be seen doing it rightly
The truth is that it is not all elders that are worthy to be honoured because many have thrown dignity into the air, are biased, and are economical in saying the truth.
We are where we are today in society because some of our respected elders are fighting for their pockets and not the general interest of all.
I Love You.
