A Community based newspaper, Gateway News Update has awarded tge Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina as the Most Outstanding Commissioner of the year in Ogun State for the year 2021.
The award presentation held on the 6th of January, 2022 forms part of activities marking the Newspaper's 16th anniversary celebration held at the Valley-View auditorium, Isale-Igbein, Abeokuta.
Presenting the award, the publisher of the Newspaper, Mr. Tunde Malaolu said his organization decided to honour some personalities in the State based on their outstanding feats in their various areas of influence, where they are blazing the trail.
Lending her credence, a one time Head of Ogun State Civil Service, who is currently the Commissioner, Lagos-Ogun Commission and a member, Federal Civil Service Commission, Abuja, Princess Iyabode Odulate, said though she does not know Dr. Odedina in person, she has watched his many achievements on Ogun State Television, hence Dr. Odedina deserves to be recognized and honoured.
Represented by the Director of Livestock, Mr.Tunji Oshilalu, the Commissioner was awarded alongside several others like Mrs Iyabo Odulate who was also the guest lecturer and bagged the Woman of the Year Award, Chairman, Hospital Management Board, Dr. Isiaq Kunle Salako, who bagged the Outstanding Board Chairman's Award, Outstanding Permanent Secretary Award also went to Mrs Yetunde Dina of Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, as well as Engr. (Dr) Yusuf Oladimeji of Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
