IMPACTING THE YOUTH: OLOTA VISITS DE UNITED FOODS INDUSTRIES LIMITED, COMMENDS ADHI NARTO


Our most Revered Royal Father, Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of Otta, Awori Kingdom, Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, Ph.D, MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA(Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) has commended the Chief Executive Officer, Dufil Prime, Mr Adhi Narto for his foresight and investment in the ancient City of Otta.


His Majesty made the call during his Royal visit to the Eric Moore Headquarters of De United Food on Tuesday, 27th September 2022. Kabiyesi commended the management for the ongoing flood control project at Afobaje/Papa Aro axis of Ota towards the popular Koro Otun as part of their corporate social responsibility and for the exemplary entrepreneurial acumen exhibited by the leadership of the company that has added to the value of Otta and sustaining her status as the leading economic/industrial hub in Ogun state.


The challenges facing the Youth in the Kingdom topped the discussion with  emphasis on several efforts in calming the situation in our collective efforts of promoting a peaceful atmosphere in aiding a sustainable business environment and to further strengthen the existing mutual relationship.


According to His Majesty, the management should always give priority to the host community Youth in their recruitment process, staffing quota for the indigenes who are in the system, improved working condition, and to be more visible in the area of CSR. The urgent need to support Ota Vocational Centre initiatives was also presented, a training hub for the youth in acquiring suitable skills that would help reduce the rate of unemployement in the Kingdom.



On the directive of Kabiyesi Olota, the Otun Maiyegun Otta, Aare Ayodele Bankole made a presentation as regards the upcoming annual Omo Iganmode Cultural Festival. The special 30th Edition of the home coming festival will hold between 12th December and 17th December 2022 in the ancient City of Otta.


Receiving Olota entourage alongside his Team which included Chief Kola Hassan (Dir. HR / Eternal Relations) Alhaji Bayo Adiamo (Dir. Tax & Legal), Tope Asiwaju (GM Public Relations /Events) Richard Ogunye (HR&Admin Ota Plant) described the visit as an important and unforgettable one for the humble move of His Majesty to have decided to pay them a visit. He further acknowleged the support of Olota and the entire people of Ota over the years. He promised to build on the existing relationship between the organization and the community in addressing most of the challenges as raised by His Majesty especially on unemployment, staffing, participation in community programmes among others.


In company of Kabiyesi Olofin Apesin Olode were; High Chief Olarenwaju Bashorun, Aare Ayodele Bankole, Chief Temitayo Idowu, Rotn Kayode Taiwo and Prince Adeyemi Olusesi.


De United Foods Industries Limited, Noodle Division, started its operation in 1996 at Ota, Ogun State, is the first instant noodles manufacturing plant in Nigeria and the largest in Africa.
