The Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State, Dr Adeola Odedina would on Tuesday 23rd May 2023 deliver the Achiever University Annual Public lecture for 2022/2023 Academic Session.
Dr Odedina is expected to speak on the topic " Agricultural Development and Food Security in the 21" Century Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects".
The acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Omolola Irinoye disclosed this in a letter personally signed by him.
Professor Omolola hinted that the goal of the lecture is to mobilise stakeholders to discuss critical issues of national and international interest that can drive active interventions to advance development and improve the society.
He added that the programmes for the day also include Commissioning of five (5) Green and (1) Screen Houses for teaching, research and service delivery, Foundation laying of the Farm House, Inauguration of the Centre for Agricultural Development, Innovation and Food Security - Research Group.
He hinged his choice of guest lecturer on his reputation as a seasoned academic , astute researcher and practical agriculturist
He said "Your reputation as a seasoned academic, astute researcher and your expertise as a practical agriculturist precedes you and informed your choice as our guest lecturer for the year. We shall be delighted to have you in our midst."
