Journalists Estate: Ogun Information Chapel Opens Major Road, Streets, Sets for Allocation

As the day approaches for the official allocation of plots of land to subscribers of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Information Chapel (Journalists) Estate, the leadership of the Chapel has employed the service of payloader operatives to open up the major road and streets in the Estate in accordance with the Estate's layout plan.

Speaking with journalists while monitoring the clearing exercise, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Information Chapel, Comrade Femi Osipitan said his administration is committed to giving value for member's money, hence the need to put necessary infrastructure in place at the Estate for member's comfort.

"Apart from opening up the major road and streets in the Estate which would be named after our past Chairmen as a sign of honour for their selfless service to the Union, Electric Poles and Estate Gate House would also be erected and constructed", Osipitan added.

In his words, "the whole essence of unionism is welfarism", Osipitan disclosed that the basic needs of man are food, shelter and clothing revealing that his administration in less than four months have been able to secure 72 plots of Agricultural farm land for the Chapel at Isaga Orile to help members with food items and also the ongoing Information Chapel (Journalists) Estate at Eguda Village, along Abeokuta-Kobape road for members to have roofs over their heads.

The Chairman noted that any member who is interested in being a part of the Estate but have not been able to subscribe due to limited financial resources should approach the Secretariat assuring that a favourable modality would be worked out.

Osipitan who appreciated the members for supporting and believing in his administration promised to continue to uphold the standard that Nigeria Union of Journalist, Ogun State Information Chapel is known for.

One of the residents of Eguda village, Mr. Kashimawo Sogbesan who could not hide his joy, expressed deep appreciation to members of the fourth estate of the realm for citing the Estate in their village saying the coming of the Journalists' Estate would attract massive development to the area.
