THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ILARO: SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES HOLDS 14TH NATIONAL CONFERENCE


The Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota and ruler of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege(Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) joined other academic scholars at the 14th National Conference hosted by School of Management Studies, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, today, 15th August 2023.

The National Conference themed *TECHNOLOGICAL ADAPTABILITY AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPLICATIONS IN NIGERIA* created a platform to inspire academic discourse relating to the thoughtful theme and to suggest the way forward in preparing and embracing technological innovations in its totality to fit into the digital space.

The Rector of the leading institution, Dr. M.A Akinde commended Kabiyesi Olota for honouring the invitation and for his transformative leadership since he ascended the throne of his forebears. He however presented an Award of Excellence to His Majesty on behalf of the School of Management Studies  in recognition of his tremendous contributions in the educational sector among others.


In his Royal remarks, Olofin Apesin Olode thanked the management for the honour bestowed on him and particularly congratulated the School of Management Studies  for the successful commencement of the two days National Conference.




While acknowledging the importance of technological adaptability in the 21st century, His Majesty appeals to the Federal Government to allow  Polytechnic award degrees to end the aged long discrimination of B.sc and HND in the Nigeria labour market. His Majesty equally called for curriculum modification to meet up with the requirements of modern organizations  especially in technology advancement in AI, and Robotics.
