Joy As Ar- Rahman Zakat Foundation Empowers 86 Indivdual at 19th edition.

 

Increased acts of Zakaat in the Society will help in Poverty alleviation, Educational development among others.

 The Chairman and the founder of Ar_ Rahmah Zakaat foundation(AZF) Engr. Abdul Hameed Femi Omotayo came up with this at the  19th Edition of the  disbursement programme for Zakat held on Sunday at Omo Owo Street, Ijebu Ode

According to Engineer Omotayo, the reason for setting up the foundation is  to align with the provisions of the Quran saying Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, meant to be executed with high Sense of duty and Commitment. 

The financier of AZF pointed out that the ultimate aim of the  Zakat project is to provide financial assistance to those in need, including the poor, adding that it is a mechanism to eradicate poverty in the Society. 

The guest lecturer Dr. Abdul Lateef Olajide commended the financier  of AZF and urged him not to relent in his responsibility as an Ambassador of Islam, especially in upholding the institution of Zakat.

While expressing displeasure that Zakat, a critical economic and Social security aspect of Islam, had been the most neglected of the five pillars of the religion,he called on Muslims to embrace Zakat, improve on their good deeds so as to get Allah's favour and Mercy.

In a remark, the former  Deputy Governor of Ogun State Senator Adegbenga Kaka called on  the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds given so that they will be in position in future to be of help to others

In an Opening speech, The Chairman of the day, Dr Taofeek Salisu called on well meaning Muslims to emulate AZF Chairman so as to reduce poverty in the society ,adding that some Muslim countries have developed because of their positive attitude to Zakat while urging everyone to be a good Muslim.

 Earlier, The empowerment Chairman Alhaji Lekan Yusuf implored the beneficiaries to exhibit the virtues of  honesty at all times.

 He urged them to justify their consideration by using the funds properly

 Eighty six (86) individuals received funds for Empowerment at the programme.
