All roads will this Monday lead to the Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta as the Supreme Council of Owu Muslims performs the installation of Alhaji Chief Dr. Ismail Adebola Akindele as the Baba Adeen of Owu.
A statement on behalf of the planning committee issued by Mr Abiodun Lasile has it that the event will take place at two different locations within the Owu kingdom.
The programme commences at 8:30am at Aduragbemi Amororo Mosque, NTA,Abeokuta junction, where he would first be turbanned as the Baba Adeen of his native community in Owu.
This will be followed immediately with the turbanning and installation as the Baba Adeen of the entire Owu Kingdom at the Owu Central Mosque, Akinolugbade, Abeokuta.
The new Baba Adeen of Owu is from Abese Compound in Owu Kingdom and he is a Muslim by birth and practice.
He has been a part of Owu community through the chieftaincy titles he had obtained including, Fimogboye Owu Apo and Bobaseto of Owu kingdom.
Being turbaned as the Baba Adeen of Owu Kingdom does not however come as a surprise as he has been involved in many Islamic goodwills such as the Annual Ifta'ar programmes for the fasting Muslims, purchase of Eid-el Adhan ram for Owu muslims and many other goodwills within and outside Owu metropolis.
