The National President, Egba Comprehensive High School Old Students' Association, Chief Femi Popoola on behalf of the National body has presented cash sum.of N25,000 each to two separate teams of students who recorded sterling performance in representing the school in recent times.
It would be recalled that a group of students of the school made the first position in a competition tagged " FUTURE INNOVATORS" organised by the state government among secondary schools in the state,held in January,2024.
In the same vein, the school football team won the Bronze medal in the recently concluded Lisabi Football competition among schools in Egba Block.
The domation which was made by the old students' association in the course of the week was according to Chief Femi Popoola was in veiw of these two sterling performances of the students which is a complete departure from the negative stories being reported about the student's of the school in the past.
He said the gesture is in tandem with the agenda of the present national leadership of Echsosa to recognise and encourage outstanding performance of students and also provide platforms for their capacity building.
The presentation was made at the school assembly In the course of the week in the presence of Mr Ewuoso Anthony Olalekan, the Nationall Welfare Officer of ECHSOSA who brought the matter to the attention of the National executive via a letter written to demand for the recognition of the students who recorded various sterling performances.
