The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof. Kolawole Adebayo , immediate past commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State, Dr. Adeola Odedina alongside others have been honored by members of the 1984-1986 class of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University.
Formerly University of Ife, School of Agriculture, Akure, now known as the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure.
At its first reunion ceremony held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the old students converged to mark a milestone: 40 years since they embarked on careers in agriculture.
These individuals have evolved to becoming leaders in their respective fields, boasting an impressive array of achievements.
Among their ranks are captains of industry, traditional rulers, renowned agricultural experts, distinguished legal luminaries, seasoned administrators, and decorated military personnel.
The President, Edu Graduate, 84/86 Set, Barr. Samuel Alomo thanked his friends and colleagues for bringing an idea conceptualized few years ago to fruition.
Barr. Alomo thereafter awarded some individuals for there immense contribition to the growth of the association and nation building.
Some of the recipient include; Prof. Kolawole Adebayo (DVC, FUNAAB) , Dr. Adeola Odedina ( Former Commissioner for Agriculture, Ogun State) , HRM OBA olorunsola Akinyelure, Ajiboye Akinyelu III, the ODOGBO of ode-omi, Irele local government area, ONDO state, Barr Samuel Olubunmi ALOMO (Bunmi Alomo Chambers, London, UK), Mogaji Taofik Yekini (Welshwheels Investment Ltd, Abuja) and Pastor (Mrs) Abimbola Adebanjo (Lagos).
In there separate remarks, the awardees thanked the association's leadership for the honour, describing an award gotten from colleagues of 40 years as special and true.
