GSS OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION LAUDS GOV. ABDULRAZAK ON APPOINTMENT OF EDUN



The National Executives of Government Secondary School Ilorin Old Boys Association has applauded the Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Abdulrazak for appointing Barrister Bolaji Edun as the Director General of the Bureau of Lands of the State.

The President of the Association, Engineer Yahaya Alapansanpa in a release stated that the appointment was an indication of the present administration’s quest for the engagement of seasoned professionals to man strategic government institutions for the advancement of the State.

Engineer Alapansanpa stressed that Barrister Edun was one of the proudest product of GSS Ilorin who left his footprints on his alma mater and contributed to the State in different capacities in the past, including serving as a Commissioner.

He implored Governor Abdulrazak to engage more products of the school in running the State, considering the strong virtues of character, diligence, discipline and integrity that were infused with while being students of the school.

Barrister Edun attended Government Secondary School, Ilorin between 1975 and 1980 from where he proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin and later the Uthman Danfodio University, Sokoto where he bagged a Bachelor of Laws Degree as the best common law student in 1987. A holder of LLM and Ph.D in view. Barrister Edun was a one-time Commissioner under the administration of Governor Muhammed Alabi Lawal between 1999-2003.
