An advertising and public relations scholar at the Department of Mass Communication of the prestigious Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mr Sade Adebimpe has been appointed by the Ogun State Government as member of the newly constituted Ogun State Waste Management Authority (OGWAMA).
This is contained in a document released by the state government recently. Adebimpe, along with nine others, was appointed to be in charge of Community aspect of the Waste Development Authority.
The Board, now being chaired by Barr. Adekunle Adeyemi, was constituted by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to create a clean and healthy environment for the common good of all residents, and also to generate income for the government through proper waste management in the state.
Before his appointment, Adebimpe had worked with the National Populations Commission Abuja, where he rose to the position of Deputy Director (Public Affairs), before retirement and later worked as Senior Lecturer of public relations and advertising at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic as well as Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
In his congratulatory message, the Head of Department of Mass Communication, Crescent University, Dr Kola Adesina described Adebimpe as a seasoned administrator and scholar whose experience would propel the board to achieve its set objectives.
"His contributions will definitely add value to the board", Adesina added
