Recent events and news showed Clearly that Nigeria is in a state of emergency in many areas such as :
1. Economy.
2. Security.
3.Health Care.
4.Education.
5.Power.
6.Agriculture.
7.Culture.
8.Division Along Religion & Ethnicity.
9.Ease of Doing Business.
10.Tax Evasion on one hand & Tax Injustice on the other hand.
11.Corruption .
12.Nepotism.
Listed above among many other crisis is a dozen problem.
I have meditated and concluded that we can solve all the problem above.
The only solution is for the intellectuals in our Country to gather together and declare a state of emergency in these areas that I have enumerated above and then we can brainstorm and solve the problem.
Too many unguided utterances is an indication that we have so many people in leadership without proper skill to lead.Imagine different persons making pronouncement in a country of intelligent people.
When people do or say what they like like nothing will happen...Then. There is crisis.
Silence on the other hand too from those who should speak out on the solution makes me believe that too many wrong people are in leadership at all levels.
Solution
1.Economy, Education and Power ....We need to ensure there is mortgage in Nigeria for every human being that is working....Such that there is no stress to have a house .The US is built on credit.
We need to address power.We need to restructure in line with true Federalism.We need to cut down cost of governance.We need to change our curriculum at all levels in our Schools.
We need to ensure that , Nigerian Graduates ..in engineering & Agriculture form the team that will rescue Nigeria not discouraging them to run away from here.
Security.We need to have decentralised police force.we need data of persons in every house and in every car.Your plate number will tell police you are and what you do.Your post code should tell us who you are.We need to be serious about our borders.
Tax.. We need to introduce hypothecated taxes. Taxes meant for specific project in all states.
Health Care .. We need to equip our hospital and train our health workers properly.
The summary of it all is that our best brain must join hands together to change Nigeria.
We all cannot run to Canada, UK or US.
This is our Country.
In fact those abroad are desiring to come.back home from what we hear from.them as soon as they hear all is well .
Dr.Gbenga Adeoye is appealing to Nigerians with sound mind and inteligence to join hand to rescue Nigeria.
