Olota ends Two day visit to Awori towns and villages within Badagry division at Akran Palace



Kabiyesi Olota was on a two  day visit to some Awori towns and villages within Badagry division in Lagos State in his effort to further encourage oneness among the Aworis not minding the artificial boundary that grouped some Aworis town in Lagos while others are classified under Ogun State.

During his visit to the Awori towns, Alayeluwa made it known that he is not a politician but  it is disheartening and ridiculous for Aworis not to have govern any of the two States since its creation despite the fact that Aworis are the first settler and major phenomenon in the economic development of the States. 

Hence, Aworis should be preparing to take-over the mantle of leadership come 2023 he concluded.



On Thursday, the Akran of Badagry, His Majesty, De Whenu Aholu Menu Titi 1, OFR, LLD, JP received the Arole Iganmode Olofin & Olota of Otta-Awori Kingdom, His Majesty Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege Ph.D (Lanlege Ekun II) at his Palace.

Kabiyesi Olota thanked Akran for his pivotal role in the development of traditional institutions and his contributions towards uplifting cultural heritage. 



The relationship between the ancient City of Otta and Badagry is aged, while the  1st storey building was built in Badagry, the 2nd storey building was built in Otta-Awori by the missionaries on their arrival in Nigeria.

Responding, the Akran of Badagry equally thanked Olota and his Chiefs for the historic visit.



 He assured Olota of his continuous support and pray for more relationship between the ancient Kingdoms.

The Awori Monarchs visited includes; HRM, Oba Momodu Afolabi Ashafa ( Aladi, Onijanikin of Ijanikin, Awori Kingdom), HRM Oba Josiah Aina Ikuyamiku (Olooto of Otta, Awori Kingdom), HRM Oba Abraham Olatunji Ogabi (Ajagun of Imeke, Awori Kingdom), HRM Oba (Dr.) Friday Oladele Kosovo (Oniworo of Iworo, Awori Kinngdom) before concluding the two day visit at the Palace of the Permanent Vice Chairman, Lagos State Traditional Council, the Akran of Badagry.



Olota was accompanied by distinguished members of Olota-in-Council and representatives of Olota Progressive Baale’s.

We shall continue to witness more progress and economic advancement in Aworiland.

Wherever, Aworis are ONE...oOon so laawa!
