2023: Let's keep hope alive, Ogun NIPR urges Nigerians

The Ogun State Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith for the country and keep hope alive, saying a new Nigeria is possible, if all hands are on deck.

The Chapter, in a New Year message by its Chairman, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, said better days are ahead if the citizens keep hope in the revival of the nation and are prepared to pay the price for good governance by putting aside sentiments and tread on the right path.

According to her, the revival of the nation is a collective responsibility.

She implored every Nigerian to brace up in the task of rebuilding the nation and be ready to perform their civic responsibilities, especially as the 2023 general elections draw near.

Boye said, "The 2023 election, which is around the corner presents yet another opportunity for the nation, Nigeria, to make informed decision that will put the nation on a renewed path of progress. The onus lies on every Nigerian, irrespective of tribe, gender or religion to be ready to play the role expected of them, by exercising their civic responsibilities to choose the right candidates."

The Chairman also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ,security agencies and other concerned stakeholders to ensure free, fair and credible polls that would produce right candidates to lead the nation to the Promised Land.

As the electioneering period gets closer, Boye enjoined Nigerians to engage in constructive engagements rather than political discourse that could heat up the polity.

While wishing the nation a happy and prosperous new year, the Ogun NIPR Chairman said better days are ahead if Nigerians continue to keep hope alive and believe in the prosperity of the nation.

She noted that Nigeria is a land blessed with natural resources which has what it takes to attain its full potential if all hands are on deck.
