Members of the Nigerian Community in Switzerland on 5th October 2023, honoured the immediate past ambassador to the Swiss, His Excellency, Ambassador Baba M Magudu, at a special reception marking 63rd Independence Anniversary of Nigeria.
The Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota and Ruler of the Paramount & Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege Ph.D, MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA( Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) in his capacity as the Special Royal Guest of Honour at a session joined other distinguished Nigerians in Switzerland to honour Ambassador Magudu for his excellent service and numerous achievements recorded under his watch.
While praying for all Nigerians in Switzerland, His Majesty commended Ambassador Magudu for the great accomplishments and for making Nigerians proud in the country. "May Almighty God continue to favour you and lead your path to the greenland." Alayeluwa concluded.
In the company of His Majesty is the Baamolu of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland, Chief Raymond Okikiolu Fadayiro, his beloved wife, Yeye Fadayiro and others.
The well attended event took place at 'At Bellevue Palace, Bern' in commemoration of Nigeria's 63rd Independence anniversary.
Ambassador Baba M. Madugu assumed duties as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein13th October 2017.
Ambassador Magudu, who was recently recalled by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is expected back in the country on 31st October 2023 at latest.
