NSCDC OGUN STATE COMMAND ORGANISES BRUSH-UP TRAINING FOR SENIOR OFFICERS.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State Command, has organised a brush-up training programme for old and newly promoted senior officers as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and professional capacity.

The training, which focused on improving service delivery in the protection of lives and property, as well as critical national assets and infrastructure in Ogun State, was prioritised by the State Commandant, Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo, MLCJ, Mspsp.

In her opening remarks, the Commandant described training as the bedrock of human development and urged participants to embrace the opportunity for personal growth and apply the knowledge gained in the discharge of their duties.

The programme cut across the ranks of Commandant and Superintendent of the Corps, with participants drawn from both newly promoted officers and others of the same cadre.

The training department, under the leadership of Deputy Commandant of Corps, Babalola Johnson Abiodun, and with the approval of the State Commandant, invited resource persons from various departments and units of the Command. 
The resource persons handled several topics which centered on the Corps’ core mandates, effective communication, community relations, leadership responsibilities, and professional conduct.

Participants expressed their appreciation to the State Commandant and the facilitators, describing the training as a timely intervention in their career progression.

The training is  continuing   for the officers in the ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC) to Assistant Superintendent of Corps I and II (ASC I & II).

While giving closing remarks, the Deputy Commandant of Corps, Rafiu Adebayo Popoola, the Second-in-Command of the Command, on behalf of the State Commandant, further admonished participants to put the knowledge acquired into practice in their various leadership roles entrusted to them by the Corps.
